Brook
Park - Golden Retriever Ch. Casadeloro's Classic
Bentley, owned by Bob and Janice Hess of Danville, Calif., was chosen best
in show at the Western Reserve Kennel Club Show yesterday at the
International Exposition Center.
Bentley
also was best in show in Friday and Saturday's competition. Each day
more than 5,000 dogs were entered.
The
top prize of $5,000 went to handler Laurie Mashiko Jordan of San Jose,
Calif., while the dog got a romp in the snow for his efforts.
The
dog's special treat is bites of bagels, which Jordan tempted him with in
the ring. The dog has won seven best in shows, four of them in the
last two weekends. "I'm ecstatic," said Janice Hess.
"I just can't believe it."
The
dog is special to Jordan because she has been showing golden retrievers
for 28 years and this is her first best in show for a golden retriever...
Other
winners were:
Richland County Kennel Club (Saturday)
Best in Show and sporting group: Ch. Casadeloro's Classic Bentley
Medina
